The Daily Routine

Step #1: Cleanse - With clean hands, smooth a small amount of balm over your face and neck. Massage slowly with your hands or a gua sha, releasing tension and encouraging circulation. 

Step #2: Exfoliate – Lay a warm, damp washcloth over your skin to open pores and gently exfoliate. Wipe away the balm, carrying away impurities and leaving your face refreshed and radiant.

Step #3: Nourish + Protect  – While skin is still slightly damp, apply a light veil of balm to lock in hydration and support your skin’s natural barrier.

We recommend doing this in the morning, and then at night skipping the balm and just gently wiping your face with a warm, damp washcloth or rinsing it with warm water and patting dry.

A Note on Application
If your skin feels greasy after applying, it likely means you’ve used too much. Remember, a little goes a long way. Allow your skin to absorb what it needs, then gently blot away any excess with a clean, dry washcloth.

The Weekly Routine - for deep renewal

Step #1: Cleanse – With clean hands, smooth a generous layer of balm over your face and neck. Massage slowly with your hands or a gua sha, releasing tension and inviting circulation. 

Step #2: Renewal Mask – Leave the balm on as you slip into a warm bath or shower. The steam softens your skin and opens your pores, allowing the balm’s herbs and ancestral fats to sink deeply into the layers beneath. This helps rebuild your barrier, ease inflammation, and deliver deep nourishment.

Step #3: Exfoliate – After your soak, press a warm, damp washcloth over your skin to gently wipe away the balm, carrying away impurities and leaving your face refreshed and radiant.

Step #4: Nourish + Protect – While your skin is still dewy, smooth on a light veil of balm to lock in hydration and protect your skin's natural barrier.

A rich, creamy balm that softens at your touch, Mojave Rain melts effortlessly into the skin. It leaves behind a protective, breathable layer and is deeply moisturizing without a greasy feel, like the quiet nourishment of rain soaking into desert earth.

Begin by taking a small amount of balm with clean, dry fingers. Warm it between your hands if needed, then smooth onto clean, slightly damp skin (face or body). A little goes a long way.

For sensitive skin, start gently: perform a patch test first, and during your initial weeks of use, apply only a couple of times per week. Gradually increase as your skin adjusts.

Tallow balm is waterless skincare, highly concentrated, and designed to seal in hydration, not provide it. For best results, apply to skin that is dampened with a hydrating mist or warm washcloth. This allows the balm to absorb more deeply, leaving your skin soft, glowing, and restored.

Please note: When transitioning to tallow-based care, your skin may experience a natural adjustment period that can last a few weeks. Give the balm at least 90 days before evaluating results. Above all, trust your intuition and adjust usage in a way that feels right for your skin.

Your balm may also arrive with either a gold or black metal lid, depending on availability. Small-batch sourcing brings these subtle differences, but the integrity and quality of what’s inside remain unchanged.
